U9-U12 Competitive/Academy Skills Centre (Players born in 2013-2010)

Youth Competitive/Academy

To participate in the Competitive/Academy Skills Centre program, players must be registered in a competitive/academy program.

What is the Skills Centre?

The U9-U12 Skills Centre program is an optional additional program which includes technical development and games run by club coaches and our top technical assistants. Players grouped on the actual day by size and ability. The sessions are highly recommended to aspiring young players looking to step up to the Academy level or to just improve their game and gain the skills and confidence needed to excel and enjoy the game to its fullest. It is the extra step to bridge competitive players to the academy tier.

At Ottawa TFC, we place an enormous emphasis on teaching and inspiring the youth players of the club. Because the club is recognized as a National level club by Canada Soccer, Ottawa TFC takes pride in developing homegrown players into top athletes. In recent years this philosophy has helped us build one of the most respected clubs in the province and country. Game play is included in the program of course, and basic playing concepts are introduced, but the emphasis is on technical soccer skills and physical literacy (overall athleticism).
