Welcome to Ottawa TFC's Elite Academy pathway!

Ottawa TFC is recognized by Canada Soccer as a National level club, and is Eastern Ontario's youth affiliate of Toronto FC of Major League Soccer (MLS) - the highest professional level of play in North America. The U13-U18 Elite Academy program is for players following the "talented pathway", training and competing at the highest youth levels in the province and country.  It is our aspiration to develop formidable young people, leaders and athletes, many with aspirations of moving onto next levels of play at University, College, professional academies, and provincial/national team programs.

What can I expect as an Elite Academy soccer parent?

Teams are led by Canada Soccer certified coaches, and overseen by some of our most advanced staff coaches. Players and parents in Ottawa TFC's elite academy program can be proud of being part of one of the most respected programs in Canada. Players will grow as people, athletes and leaders, as these are some of our core principles and objectives as an organization. They can dream of moving up through the club's pathway to provincial, national team and professional programs, but they should should above all be prepared to have a lot of fun along their journey, work hard towards their objectives with like minded peers, coaches and mentors to help their journey.   If you pour your heart, body and mind into this program, it will prepare you for life in a big way, both as an athlete and person.

More about the program...

The Elite Academy program is a year-round program for players who want to train and compete at the highest level. Training sessions consist of endurance, mental preparation, goal setting, advanced techniques, tactical awareness, discipline, mental toughness and more. Coached by Ottawa TFC's nationally licensed coaches, players train from Monday to Friday after school and play games on weekends. Most teams participate in the OPDL (Ontario Player Development League) competing at the highest level in Ontario.

Players are grouped by age and gender into teams/training groups.
