U7-U8 Pre-Academy (Players born in 2016-2015)

GRASSROOTS

What can I expect as new soccer parent?

The U7-U8 Pre-Academy is the first step towards our nationally acclaimed academy programs. Players from the foundational U5-U8 Skills Centre Grassroots program, will be invited into the Pre-Academy and grouped by ability once the season has started. This program prepares players with extra training sessions for the Ottawa TFC Academy programs that begin at the U9 category.

Players will work with some our club's most qualified coaches, running through small sided games, technical exercises (ball mastery), physical literacy (strength, speed, coordination, balance, general athleticism), and 1v1 exercises.

Pre-Academy players MUST participate in at least one of the U5-U8 Skills Centre programs. In addition, they will attend a second weekly training session with the Pre-Academy players and occasionally participate in games across the season between festival and intra-club game play.
