U9-U18 Fall League (Players born in 2014-2005)

OPEN PROGRAMS

First steps... Who is Ottawa TFC?

Ottawa TFC is honoured to introduce the beautiful game of soccer to your child.  Recognized as a National level club by Canada Soccer, the aim of our Open League programs is to have your child enjoy playing the game in a fun, safe and social environment.

What can I expect as new soccer parent?

The Open Programs are an introduction to soccer at Ottawa TFC and a great environment for recreational players.  Whether you are new to the sport and want to try it out or have experience playing but don’t wish to play at a competitive level, these are great programs in which to enjoy the beautiful game and get some good exercise.  In a fun atmosphere, players will grow more comfortable with the ball at their feet, grow their skills as players and expand their love of the game, all by playing in fun small sided games.

More about the program...

The U9-U18 Open Fall league is a great transition from the summer to the winter season. Teams will be formed each week as the players arrive at the field, putting similar players together into 3v3, 4v4, or 5v5 teams each week. Small sided games will be played in our popular “Champions League” format, or in mini tournament format (Group stage followed by play-offs). Our older Academy players lead the games with the on-field supervision of a staff coach.

Players are required to where appropriate clothing depending on the weather. Protective shin guards covered by soccer socks and good shoes are mandatory at all sessions. Cleats are allowed and recommended at all age groups but are not necessary for recreational play.
